Are airport controllers TRAINED LISTENERS? They NEED to be TESTED frequently. Apparently, this one is a POOR LISTENER and NEEDS a HEARING test. He couldn't UNDERSTAND what the pilot was saying about his copilot LEAVING and JUMPING out of the aircraft. HE seemed to CARE LESS about him, JUMPING OUT. I was able to hear LOUD and CLEAR. Have they recovered the copilots body? I hope so for his family's sake. My condolences to his family.1🙏🏼🕊

Well, in defense of the air traffic controller. This is not a typical call. it's not every day the pilot calls them to say the co-pilot jumped out of the back of the plane. Have some kindness towards the ATC. He was probably in shock from what he heard, I would be. Put yourself in his place, you wold be just as STUPID as you call him.

For those of you who keep saying the ATC is dumb, he is ACTUALLY doing his job correctly, without emotion. He keeps asking the pilot if he needs anything else i.e. circle to drop fuel, emergency crew on the ground, etc. ATC's are NOT SUPPOSED to freak out! There is a reason that they are FORCED to retire by age 56.

I’m sure this controller was thinking he misheard or that the pilot meant something else. Until the pilot told the controller that he jumped out the back of the plane without a parachute and they would find a dead body. Initially w the pilot kept saying he ran out the back of the plane. I’d be thinking they must mean something other than he “jumped” out of the plane until the pilot made it very clear. Your mind is thinking a co-pilot would never do that.
