He wanted to include his mom with one of his most important decisions, & she was a big disappointment to him & to herself! That's sad, disrespectful, & embarrassing for him. He was correct in letting GOD lead his heart in his decision-making. Throughout life, continue to let GOD lead you in your decisions!
