Nobody cares what your "thing" is when we don't have any context to this story. Why did he pull up? What did he say he was gonna do, if anything? Who is in the wrong? What is the history? Has this happened before? Etc.

I agree that maybe wasn’t the brightest move, but you gotta understand where he’s coming from some man pulls up to his property, jumped up the car run towards him in an aggressive manner.
