Well actully a lady at a walmart once left hers in the front af a cart after putting her groceries in her car and her kids in the car. i saw it and asked her if she ment to leave it as she might have baght a new one amd trasfered everything to the new one and left the ond one in the cart. which addmitedly would have been a bit rude but not unlawful or bad but coukd be hard on her if not the case which was why I asked her. incedentaly she had forgotten her purse and was grateful I asked.
