this is the reason they always raise fares if ppl not paying and have no money for maintenance and upgrades. This is also the reason ppl then complain about the police. They want to do whatever they want and get mad if they call them on it. people who pay like me then have to stand while ppl who don't pay get to sit

MTA cries poverty over fare evasion but what all the money they themselves wasted on the waist high "barriers" and those turnstile gates (that do nothing to prevent fare evasion). smh

Pay you fare losers I’m sure you have the money if you’re working, MTA should install face recognition in every station so they could catch fare jumpers and criminals who enter the subway system without paying and banished them from the system forever

authorities have video of their faces they need to put a Crime Stoppers reward on them and they will be rounded up and charged with theft of Public Service
